This is a Free Program offered by Advantage Waste Systems and available to ALL Residents, Institutions, Schools and Businesses in Halton, Hamilton and Niagara Regions, FREE of Charge!

Advantage Waste Systems collected more than 184,000 lbs of e waste from March to December 2010
All material has been collected, shipped and processed through to our (OES) Ontario Electronics Stewardship Partner Electro-Shred, Canadian owned and operated, ensuring environmentally friendly recycling
Our goal, to collect more than 250,000 pounds of WEEE material in 2011.
We have surpassed this goal 5 months ahead of schedule.

Our current running total for 2011 as of November 30th is 535,769 pounds.
At our curent rate of collection, we are now expecting to send over half a million pounds of ewaste for environmentally friendly recycling thru our partner Electro-Shred this year.

Program Information
Advantage Waste Systems is now expanding services for businesses, schools, homes, multi-residential buildings and condominiums, making it simpler to have unwanted electronics and appliances recycled right from your door step
Advantage will assist you in this new recycling initiative beginning February 1, 2011 by collecting unwanted electronics and old appliances right at your buildings and condominiums free of charge
Advantage will be providing electronics collection containers e-carts at no charge for use in a centralized location of your building or condominiums accessible for all residents
e-carts will have a electronics recycling sticker on them and will be used to collect small electronic items – laptops, portable computers, keyboards, VCRS, DVD players, cell phones, pagers, radios, cameras, video recorders, computer cables, and all other electronic accessories
Large electronic items – televisions, desktop monitors, printers, copiers, scanners, modems, typewriters, fax machines, stereos, receivers and speakers should be placed beside the e-cart for collection
Appliances large or small can be place along with the large electronic items next to your e-cart for collection
Collection will take place by calling in for a pickup when 3 items are ready or your e-cart is full

One e-cart will be adequate for residences of 80 units

e-carts will be delivered with an information package containing all items which can be recycled free of charge under this program
You may use an open cardboard box also to place small electronics and appliances out for collection. Please ensure the open box of electronics and appliances is visible at your collection point
